چکیده

Saponins are one of the secondary metabolites found in Shallot (Allium cepa L.), particularly roots. Microclimate differences cultivation area thought to have a significant impact on production metabolites, such as saponins. This research aimed observe saponins content root shallot plants cultivated marginal agricultural land and their antimicrobial activity against bacteria (Ralstonia solanacearum) fungus (Fusarium oxysporum). was observational with random sampling method. The samples were collected from plantation two different conditions. Two varieties ‘Bima' 'Tiron' by farmers sandy coastal Samas, Bantul used. harvested at 1, 1.5, 2 months after planting, respectively. crude extract used test activity. produced higher accumulated increased along maturity plants, both regular paddy field. extracted roots shallots showed than antifungal Saponin merupakan salah satu metabolit sekunder yang terdapat pada bawang merah terutama bagian akar. Bahan dipanen tiga waktu berbeda, 1 bulan, 1,5 bulan berturut-turut setelah tanam. Ekstrak kasar digunakan menguji antimikrobanya. Tanaman pasir menghasilkan lebih tinggi terakumulasi akarnya. Produksi semakin meningkat seiring umur merah, baik maupun sawah biasa. diekstraksi biasa menunjukkan antimikroba daripada antijamurnya.
